Lindsay Modelling Rubber Masks

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of trying a sheet mask before, you’ll know how refreshing and beneficial it can be for your skin. Well the next big thing to come out of Korea takes sheet masks to a whole new level - Lindsay modelling rubber masks. These masks provide instant brightening and hydrating effects beyond that of their sheet mask counterparts. Whilst being incredibly fun to use, there is much deserved hype in Korea over the significant results they deliver. Buttermilk Skincare has brought the iconic Lindsay’s Modelling Rubber Masks to the UK and based on the rate they fly out of Olive Young (Korea’s equivalent of Sephora), you should treat your skin to these masks fast!

How do they work?

Lindsay’s Modelling Rubber Masks contain two vital ingredients: Alginate, an extract found in kelp, which helps keep your skin firm and thoroughly moisturised. And diatomaceous clay, a naturally-formed mineral rich in nutrients that can deliver a number of benefits to your skin. When mixed with water, these ingredients transform into a paste which is then applied to your skin. As the paste dries, it transforms once more into a thick rubber-like substance that moulds to your skin, creating a vacuum between your skin and the mask. The vitamins and minerals in these ingredients are then slowly absorbed deep into your skin without evaporating with incredible results. The mask cleanses your pores and leaves your skin nutrition rich and radiant. Each of Lindsay’s Modelling Rubber Mask cup contains enough ingredients for a one use mask.

How to apply

Peel back the lid and remove the spatula. Pour in water to the fill level in the cup and mix well to a paste. Using the spatula provided, apply to your face avoiding your eyes and lips, ensuring a thick layer at the sides. The mask will become sold and after 10-15 minutes, gently peel off the mask and rinse off any residue. Apply toner and follow up with the rest of your Korean skincare routine.
